To all who have sent both Jim and I such lovely words of encouragement and prayers during our recent troubling times.        -Flippy

Yesterday, June 25, 2007 at 1 p.m., Birdie passed away in her Birdie bed and in my arms. The on call vet for Dr Steve and her assistant came to our home and as we laid Birdie in her bed on the sofa where she has always been the most comfortable, and while Jim and I gently stroked her, the vet first gave her a strong sedative, and then gave her the injection allowing her to go to the Rainbow Bridge.
She went peacefully and although it was hard for both Jim and I to accept it was the right thing to do as well as the best thing to do.
We had 33 great years together on this earth, and I will always have a special part of my heart that will belong to her.
It was a hard, and long day for both Jim and I today. I looked for her as I have each morning, only to realize later she was gone.
Both Jim and I want to thank each and everyone of you who held us up in your prayers in our time of need, and contacted me to give us words of encouragement.
They all helped and we appreciated all of you who took the time to contact us to tell how touched you were by Birdie's story.
Good -bye sweet angel, sleep well and I will remember you daily. You will always remain in my heart, and memories.
